South Western Sydney's fertility rate is well above the state average, with over 14,000 births in 2019, 15% of the NSW total.

Preparing for a new baby is exciting, but it can also be scary if it's your first time. Your body goes through many changes during pregnancy, so it’s important to look after yourself and give your baby the best start in life.

Local mums can download the My SWS Baby Pregnancy Journey App (produced by South Western Sydney Local Health District) from the App Store. The app is available to both iOS and Android smartphones users.

Don’t be afraid to speak to your GP or midwife if you have problems during pregnancy.

For more support in staying healthy during pregnancy, talk with your GP or midwife about the Get Healthy in Pregnancy Service, or you can contact the service yourself Get Healthy in Pregnancy Service
