Play is an important part of a child’s life, impacting almost every area of their development. Children aged 1-5 years should spend at least 3 hours each day playing different games and activities, including:

  • Running, jumping, dancing, climbing, bike riding, throwing, skipping
  • Games : obstacles courses, catching or chasing balloons or bubbles, musical chairs
  • Different locations such as sports ovals, beaches and parks with equipment
  • Indoor play centres
