
Munch & Move in south west Sydney
Munch & Move is an evidence-based program that works with early childhood education and care services. It supports the healthy growth and development of young children from birth to age five.
Educators in preschools, long day care, occasional care and family care services can join Munch & Move to receive free training, support and resources. The program shares key Munch & Move messages:
- Eat more fruit and vegetables.
- Choose healthier snacks.
- Make water your drink.
- Get active each day.
- Turn off the screen and get active.
- Encourage and support breastfeeding.
In south west Sydney, Munch & Move is run by the Health Promotion Service, Early Years team.
How to get involved
Educators and services can join Munch & Move by emailing: SWSLHD-MunchAndMove@health.nsw.gov.au
They will be linked to a Munch & Move support officer for ongoing and personalised support. Our team also provides:
- High-quality professional development training.
- Support to develop and implement policies and practices to promote healthy eating and physical activity at your service.
- Free tools, tips and ideas to share with families to encourage healthy lifestyles at home.
