Headstart is a mental health navigation tool for people experiencing mental health concerns and their friends, family and carers. Headstart South Western Sydney lists local mental health and alcohol and other drug services that meet the following criteria:

  • The service is delivered face to face (in-person or online) and available to people living or working in the South Western Sydney region
  • The service is free or low-cost and can be accessed via self-referral or a referral from a GP or allied health worker
  • The service receives public funding or is accredited to National Standards for Mental Health Services (NSMHS) or a relevant equivalent

South Western Sydney PHN has commissioned the launch of Headstart in South Western Sydney. The tool brings together services that can help people in the local area get assistance with a whole range of different mental health conditions. From anxiety or depression to eating disorders, or drug and alcohol concerns to grief and loss, Headstart exists to connect people with organisations best suited to their needs and eligibility.
