Raise healthy kids with our First 2000 Days of Life video series
The first 2000 days of life, from conception to a child's fifth birthday, are the building blocks for the rest of their life.
What happens in these early years can shape the next 30,000 days of life - that's 82 years!
With this in mind, the Health Promotion Service has created the First 2000 Days of Life video series to show everyone how they can support children and families during these important early years.
The 11 short videos cover the A-B-C of raising happy and healthy children including:
-
Antenatal and pregnancy care,
-
Baby’s brain development,
-
Childhood experiences, and
-
Early learning and early intervention.
The videos have a message for every one, including parents, carers, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighours and friends. It's simple: Together, we can give children the best start to life.
Nine videos are in English and two are in-language, in Hindi and Arabic, to support our Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities.
Please share the video series with your family, work mates and friends.
